Registration Begins for ‘Maryam ki Dastak’ Project in Punjab

The registration process for the ‘Maryam ki Dastak’ project has started, following the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that the project will be extended to all districts, increasing the number of available services from 10 to 65. “People will get services at their doorstep, and it will also eradicate corruption from government offices,” she stated.

She added that Punjab is embracing the digitization era, using Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence to facilitate citizens effectively. According to Maryam Nawaz, hundreds of thousands of young people will act as facilitators in the ‘Maryam ki Dastak’ project and will also gain employment through it.

To be a Dastak volunteer, individuals need to have at least an intermediate education. Volunteers must also have a mobile phone with internet access, a clearance certificate from the local police station, a personal motorbike, and a driving license. Once the criteria are met, the Dastak officials will receive training.

The ‘Maryam ki Dastak’ app will provide services like domicile, e-stamping, and birth, death, and marriage certificates. Additionally, it will simplify property tax, token tax, motor, and vehicle transfer and registration of new vehicles.
